How to install it

macOS

  1. 1

    Download the .dmg

Take the macOS download above. It is a universal build, so the same file works on Apple silicon and on Intel.

  2. 2

    Drag it into Applications

Open the .dmg and drag ElevateAI CRM into your Applications folder.

  3. 3

    Open it

Launch it from Applications, Launchpad or Spotlight.

  4. 4

    If macOS won't open it

The first launch can be blocked as coming from an unidentified developer. Right-click the app, choose Open, then Open again, or go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway.

Windows

  1. 1

    Download the .exe

    Take the Windows download above.

  2. 2

    Run the installer

Open it and follow the setup wizard.

  3. 3

    If SmartScreen stops it

Click More info, then Run anyway. That's Windows reacting to an installer it hasn't seen many times yet, not a verdict about the file.

  4. 4

Open it from the Start menu

It installs like any other Windows app and shows up where you would expect.

Linux

  1. 1

    Download the right package

Match both your distribution family and your architecture, using the note above if you are not sure.

  2. 2

    Install it from a terminal

Run it in the folder you downloaded to, so your package manager resolves dependencies. Debian/Ubuntu, Fedora/RHEL, then openSUSE:

    $ sudo apt install ./<file>.deb
    $ sudo dnf install ./<file>.rpm
    $ sudo zypper install ./<file>.rpm
  3. 3

Open it from your applications menu

It registers itself the same way anything installed from a package does.

Signing in happens in your browser.

Click Sign In and the app hands you to your default browser to authenticate, then brings you straight back. Already signed in to ElevateAI in that browser? It's one click. If not, sign in at crm.elevatenext.ai the way you normally would and the browser returns you to the app.

If something goes wrong

  • macOS won't open the app

Right-click it in Applications and choose Open, then Open again. Or allow it under System Settings, Privacy & Security, Open Anyway.

  • Windows SmartScreen blocks the installer

Click More info, then Run anyway.

  • The Linux package won't install

The usual cause is the wrong architecture. Check with uname -m, and install with sudo apt install ./file.deb (including the ./) rather than double-clicking, so dependencies get resolved.

  • Sign-in doesn't come back to the app

Finish signing in at crm.elevatenext.ai in the browser that opened, then switch back. If the app still shows the sign-in screen, quit it fully and open it again.

Why install it instead of using a tab

  • A window of its own

It sits in your dock or taskbar next to everything else you work in, so the CRM stops competing with forty tabs for your attention.

  • Notifications from your operating system

New message, new lead, missed call: delivered by macOS, Windows or your desktop environment, not by a tab you closed an hour ago.

  • Same account, same data

Sign in once and it is the same live account as the web and the phone. Nothing is stored in two places, so nothing can disagree.

  • More than one account

If you have access to more than one account, switch between them from the account menu inside the app.

What it runs on: the Mac build is universal (Apple silicon and Intel), the Windows build is a 64-bit installer, and Linux ships .deb and .rpm packages for x86_64 and ARM. There are no published minimum OS versions, so we won't invent any. If your machine won't run it, tell support and we'll find out where the line is.

Desktop app questions

What it costs, what it's for, and how to keep it current.

Mobile app
Is the desktop app included with my plan?

Yes. It's included on every plan (Core, Growth and Pro) with no separate app fee and no per-seat charge. Every plan includes unlimited users, so your whole team can install it.

Do I need it, or is the web version enough?

The web version does everything the desktop app does. The desktop app is a preference: a window of its own and notifications from your operating system instead of a browser tab.

Can I install it on more than one computer?

Yes. Install it wherever you work and sign in. It's the same account either way, and there's no device limit to manage.

Why does the installer say ElevateAI CRM?

That's what the app build is named, so that's what you'll see in your Applications folder or Start menu, and in the file name you download.

How do I update it?

This page always points at the current build. If yours looks behind, download the installer and install it over the top. You do not need to uninstall first, and nothing is lost, because your data lives in your account rather than in the app.

Is there a mobile app too?

Yes, for iPhone and Android. It's listed in the app stores as LeadConnector, which catches people out, so there's a page about it on this site.
